31 October 2004Birthday bashThe local members of the Adame clan gathered at the May household in order to celebrate the birthdays of Elizabeth and Margaret yesterday. More information is available at The May Family site. 30 October 2004TKG vs. PCAMark and Herman had been planning to attend a Dallas area TKG game all season. Their schedules meshed with that of the available games yesterday evening when they met at Lions Stadium for a contest with Prestonwood Christian Academy. In addition to Mark and Herman, those in attendance included John, James Loftis, Rebecca, Avery, Collin and Ethan. John was on hand to witness the kick-off; Herman, et. al., arrived three minutes into the game having been delayed while Rebecca primped for the game; Mark and James arrived just before the end of the first quarter from enjoying a dinner together at Cantina Laredo. The game itself was less than ideal. Gorman started off weak and it only went downhill from there. The line seemed ill-equipped to prevent infiltration by the PCA defensive assault. Notably, there was very little passing on either side during the first quarter or so. The Lions dominated for most of the game. The most inglorious moment of the game came in the final few minutes when, following a punt that bounced badly for the Crusaders, PCA pushed through the line to tackle the quarterback in the endzone for a safety. The final score was 50 to 08. 26 October 2004Dexter diagnosed with HSAMark reports that Dexter has been diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma (references [1] [2] [3]. It had been noted that he had several growths on his belly last month. Surgery was performed and the neoplasms removed to smooth margins. While some form of cancer was hypothesized, pathological analysis was required to confirm the diagnosis. From a somewhat encouraging perspective, the recognized invasion was dermal in nature. However, it is presently unknown whether metastasis has occurred. Increased vigilance and further observation are warranted. 02 October 2004October Turtle ScutesThe current issue of Turtle Scutes has been mailed. Denizens of the interactive community can expect its arrival in their mailbox shortly. 01 October 2004Third time charmed? One can hope... Just over one month has now passed since it was learned that AdameOnline was back. Only this time around it has been rechristened MLAdame. Celebrations will be harder to come by as the excuses given for the previous two failures have worn thin. While enthusiasm for the concept and wishes for success remain, promotion will have to await proven staying power. continue to the September 2004 archive ⇒ |
