29 Janaury 2005Johnson Family Birthday BashThe fruit of an informal conversation during the Thanksgiving gathering at Moss Point, members of Johnson family came together at Jason's home to celebrate January and February birthdays. This branch of the family experiences five birthdays within a five week period. Beginning in mid-January with Joanne, Rebecca and Christopher round out January with anniversaries ten and seventeen days later, respectively. Andrea and Marianna complete the set with birthdays during the third week of February. Advantage was also taken to complete distribution of a few straggling Christmas gifts. With a rendez-vous at Jason's beginning in early afternoon, the fare consisted of barbequed goodies from Sonny Bryan's with a few homemade garnishes to complement. A sheet cake and ice cream rounded our the spread. Besides catching up, entertainment consisted of air hockey, darts, and karaoke. Other than Leslie and Maura's spouse, Mike, every surviving member of the four Johnson Family branches by marriage or otherwise were in attendance. Twenty-two souls in all. For some, this was the first time that we had seen one another in nearly a year. All-in-all a successful celebration! We celebrate this special anniversay and congratulate all of the honorees and look forward to a happy and productive year for all. 20 Janaury 2005JWM 68:1054-1064The article on which Christopher is lead author and which has been under peer review for about two years has been published. Entitled "Mexican Spotted Owl Nest- and Roost-Site Habitat in Northern Arizona", it appears in volume 68 of the Journal of Wildlife Management pages 1054 to 1064. The in press tag referencing this article on the denizen recognition page has been updated accordingly. Congratulations, Christopher, et. al.! 09 Janaury 2005Turtle Scutes, volume two premiersThe first issue of the newsletter has been completed and will be arriving in your mailboxes soon. Delivery was delayed slightly due to the holidays, but will resume regular distribution next month. 07 Janaury 2005Flickering presenceThe personal site for John and Christy appears to have disappeared. Attempts to visit earlier in the week were met with the standard Earthlink 404 ("Page Not Found") error. Inquiries have met with no response. In fact, until late this evening the business site for John Adame Photography was also unavailable. Even though it has returned, it has not been updated in nearly five months. At least it is back. :-) continue to the December 2004 archive ⇒ |
