16 October 2007Michigan or BustCongratulations to Jennifer! She has been offered a tenure-track position with Michigan State University. Beginning 01 June 2008, Jen will begin work as an Assistant Professor of Wildlife Disease Ecology in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife. The specific group in which she will be employed is a graduate specialization, Fish and Wildlife Disease Ecology and Conservation Medicine, where she will enjoy a joint faculty appointment in the Departments of Fisheries and Wildlife (College of Agriculture and Natural Resources) and Large Animal Clinical Sciences (College of Veterinary Medicine). Jen and Chris returned Saturday, instant, from a three day visit to East Lansing where Jen surveyed facilities for lab space and Christopher met with several prospective employers in his field of work. Check back for more news on Chris as it becomes available. In the meantime, we congratulate Jen on this wonderful opportunity and wish both of them th best of luck as they transition to this new chapter of their lives. 14 October 2007Brady James DobsonToday marks the one month anniversary of the birth of our newest Family member. Brandi and Chris Dobson welcomed the birth of their second child at 08:12 on 14 September. Joining his sister, Emma, Brady entered the world at 3.771kg and 54.61cm on 14 September 2007. Both mother and child are doing well and were eagerly greeted at the recent Family Reunion. Congratulations, Brandi and Chris! 13 October 20078th Annual Andrus Family ReunionThe annual Family Reunion for the descendants of I.E. and Hortense (Conner) Andrus was held today at " the old homepalce" in Andrus Cove, Jefferson Davis Parish, Louisiana. Most all branches of the family were represented, with Jen, Chris and Herman in attendance from the May/Bonin Family. In addition to visiting and reminiscences, the gathering provided a forum for the annual Shareholders Meeting for I.E.
