Mary Frances Walters Jordan
1917-2008

Hoping this is not a trend to fullfill the superstition that deaths come in three's, it becomes us to report that another member of our extended family has died. Mary Frances (Walters) Jordan, aunt to Margaret and great aunt to the Adame Family, died of unknown causes at a Port Arthur nursing facility. The loss of Mary Frances leaves only two surviving Walters-Hart children, Bessie and Ted. Particularly notworthy is the fact that Bessie will, later this winter, join that rare pantheon of humans to become a centenarian.

Charlotte Ruth (Walters) Ray Rhodes

We find ourselves with the unenviable task of reporting the death of another member of our extended family. Charlotte Rhodes, sister to Margaret and aunt to the Adame Clan, died earlier today of complications related to pneumonia. She had been hospitalized for treatment of that condition for several days.

A contingent of family members will be making a trip to Dripping Springs for the Memorial Service Thursday, 12 June. From Tyler, Margaret and Theodore will be making the journey, while Elizabeth, Mark and John will represent the North Texas families

Michigan or Bust, redux

Word has reached us that phase one of Jen and Chris' relocation to Michigan has been executed.

Jen writes:

Just a quick note to let you know that I moved to Michigan last week and started my job at Michigan State University yesterday!

Chris is currently on the job hunt in MI. In the meantime, he will continue to work and live in MS and I am taking up temporary residence in an apartment here in MI.

She continues by including her temporary address and notes that her personal eMail will remain unchanged. A link to her departmental website is included. While her current entry in the faculty directory is basic, Jen notes that she will have a personal site up and running soon. Check back for particulars.

Updated contact information has been distributed and is available to those who request it from the usual sources.
